Participants will learn a Cunningham-based warm up followed by a creative choreography workshop accompanied by a live percussionist which I’m sure will be fabulous.
No previous contemporary experience is required, however, a decent knowledge of dance is preferable so all are welcome. I think this will be a really exciting opportunity to try something a little different and I myself am very much looking forward to participating!

A brief bigraphy of Maria Ryan Below who will be my guest teacher for this exciting workshop:
Maria Ryan trained at the London Contemporary Dance School and performed with their graduate performance company in 1994-1995 (which was called 4D and is now EDGE). She was a professional dance artist for 9 years, performing and teaching with contemporary choreographers and companies including Yael Flexer, Hénri Oguike & Phoenix Dance Company. During this time Maria also worked with choreographers such as Richard Alston, Mark Baldwin, Jonzi D and Siobhan Davies.
She taught contemporary technique on the Centre for Advanced Training programme at Swindon Dance and made the transition to project management working with Independent Dance, Swindon Dance and then as Children & Youth Dance Manager at The Place from 2011-2017. She is currently a Creative Learning Producer at
